I\'ve been having a complete mare trying to get the Downpipe off the turbo pack. I can\'t get the linkage off, been trying for over 4hrs !!!!!!
I think I\'ve found the problem in the workshop manual but want to double check since the suns gone down. Do I need to completely remove the bolts in the joints ? Is the bolt sat in a groove in the shaft ?? I have only loosen them off and think this is what is giving me such grief !
Any help would be greatly appreciated !!
Cheers
Shaun

take the bolt out of the top part of the bottom universal joint then loosen the bolt from the upper joint (the on halfway up the steering column) from above this will allow you to slide the lower section of the steering column uppwards giving you enough clearance.
take a look here i did a complete how to http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47341 (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47341)

undo the 2 bolts that go through either end of the link and mark up the bar so u can put it back in the same place, once thats done wd40 or freeze release spray the bar and tap it out u should beable to let it hang, job\'s a good\'un
