Title: Changing the exhaust & Cat the Garith way!!!
Post by: GaseJo on April 13, 2008, 03:53:22 PM
I have a buyer for my standard Box (or is it?) & Cat so i had to take them off the car & then replace with a Nurspec & SMB Cat. So bright and early this morning i got to it.

My Idea of SAFE WORKING CONDITIONS

With a can of shifter spray a socket & spanner oh yes and a dash of the cold wet stuff that drops out of the sky. I started work. I was very surprised how easy it all came apart. Within 10 mins it was off.

OLD & NEW

Had to ring my mate for some exhaust paste & some bolts as the new system has not got any studs fitted. It took about an hour to fit the new on the car. So all in all and easy experiance.

Few more pics

A couple of question:-

1 How am i going to refit the heat light sensor as there is no hole for it to fit into?

2 Is this a standard BOX? I personally dont think it is looks like it has been straightened out and the is only one support are on it. Any one know what type it is?

NOW to attempt to fit rear Diffuser & Carbon Canards.

Cheers Garith.

You dont need to refit the cat sensor, just unplug it and leave it off.

Standard cat back has a huge scilencer and twin pipes.  Virtually no noise from standard one!
