As some of you know I am doing my uni project on the rotary engine. I have a section on modifactions. Just asking for a list for mods that can be done to the rotary engine, which I can investigate more

How long is a piece of string?
In terms of the actual bare block then I guess you are looking at:-
Inlet porting
Peripheral porting
Exhaust porting
Dowling
Strengthened stationary gears
Lightened rotors
Milled tip slots for larger apex seals
Different design apex seals (Carbon, cermaic, 2 piece)
Lightened flywheel
etc
Intercoolers:
Front mount
standard mount uprated
vmount
Air filters:
HKS
Apexi
Feed
Turbo`s:
LOL endless, bigger the tubby the more mental the port needs to be to aid the spooling process. i.e a TO4E will run fine on a standard engine port, a T51 will need a large street port to a half bridge id say.
Fueling:
Another mine field.
Exhaust/downpipes:
Fitting larger diameter downpipes, decating, bigger bore and as straight as poss backbox i.e more flow so better bhp/noise
:)
Hope that helps a little
Clearenced Rotors,Modified E shafts for higher reving, there must be more lol
Aluminiumm Rotors
Aluminium plates
Dont forget adding more rotors!
yeah just to do with the engine not the rx-7, cheers for your suggestions
