make sure your fuel gauge is not faulty and you actually run out of petrol, check you have ignition, check plugs maybe they have died

Baz when you said just died can you elaborate? Just cut out period, started running rough then cut out etc etc. Also did you notice what the boost gauge was doing.......stable reading or bouncing up and down if it would still run?

Hey Bas still no luck then :3Confused

Right iv been to have a look and tried serval parts but cant figure out what is happening. Theres plenty of fuel in the tank having had the fuel pump out to check, both fuel and the pump works.
The engine is not flood, i changed the plugs for some of my old ones and you turn it over and there still dry once weve cranked the car, the fuel pump relay is fine and so is the egi fuse, the pump does not prime and there is no spark at all from any of the igniton coils, the only thing i havnt tried is the fuel pump speed relay but would this affect both fuel pump and igniton???

As Blitz has said, check the fuses, check the earths - IIRC there is one farily near the ECU as well on an FD?

Does the car have an immobiliser?

do you know if youre getting reference from the crank angle sensors? Does the rev needle bounce (only tiny minute bounces but you got to be looking closely to see em) when youre cranking? Failing that you might want to get a pin out diagram and check at the ecu to see if its getting any signal.

no the rev needled does not move at all while cranking and yes the ecu is getting signal
