Title: Alarm ID
Post by: T11MNM on April 08, 2008, 07:05:31 PM
Hi,

My car has an Auto Watch alarm and immobiliser, my insurance co have stipulated that they need a model number, install date, etc. Now unfortunately i don\'t have any documentation for the alarm.

I guess the first stage is to actually find out whether or not the alarm is CAT1 and to do that i\'ll need a model number, has anyone got any idea where i might find that out? I would assume on the alarm unit but i\'m not sure where i might find that, behind the dash somewhere?

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Tim

it might be on the siren. If you don\'t have an installation certificate i think you can get it inspected by an approved fitter.

i had a similiar problem, an approved fitter can find out for you and if it is cat1 they can write you a new certificate for it. i was charged £20 but he only works locally

I\'ve contacted Steve who is coming out to see me. He also indetified that the alarm was a Cat 1 over the phone which is good news, haha!

Cheers Chris!
