Okey dokey I have put a new chargespeed bonnet on my rex some days I think yeah it looks cool and others I think it doesnt really suit it looking for some opinions should I
1)leave it alone it looks cool?
2)spray it black to match better with the rest of the car?
3)put my stock one back on?
see the rest of the car is stock\'ish and im just not sure if its a bit much on a stock\'ish rex what do you guys think? here come the pics :D

Personally i like to see things match, i\'m not into the whole twotone or carbon look, so i\'d say paint it black to match the rest of the car....
Only my opinion tho :D

thankyou thats exactly what im after ;) i agree im not into the carbon bonnet thing myself to much but if i ever wanted to resell it having it painted black could be a problem
i like it as it is dont do anything to it :Thumbs-up
you noticed any drop in temps since you fitted this bonnet?
can you paint the bonnet and leave the slats in the vent carbon? i have a set of standard mirrors made of carbon coming up for sale that would complement the carbon vent.

yep for sure temps are better not as good as i hoped for though but i think thats because i have a stock mount intercooler with a bumper that i think really needs a front mount hopefully changing that for a burnout bumper if i can find one :)

another good idea keep the opinions coming as im still in two minds what to do with it :)
Jim i think it is the downside of having a black car, carbon just doesnt look right as it doesn\'t stand out enough. it looks just like it is a badly matched respray on the bonnet. if it were me i would sell it and use the money to get a FRP one sprayed to match, or if your bonnet temps are fine return it to stock and use the cash on something else.
but as everybody else says, it is down to preference, if you like the bonnet maybe you should go the other way and make the rest of the car more extreme?
marco
I think it looks alright Jim, but if you decide you want something different, then I might have something for you in black ;-)
I think it looks great as it is - IMO! #;o)
although I think it might be an idea to change your front bar ...... oh and when you do, please bear me in mind when you need to get rid of your clear indicator lenses...... not that I\'ve got the same front bar as you or anything and not that I\'m really in need of the lenses..... you know, just if you feel the urge to change..... #;o)
the bumper will be up for sale as soon as i get my hands on a burnout bumpy but the indicators will be going with it im afraid they are a pain in the ass to get genuine re amemiya ones in clear

Yep, fairy does, I\'m well aware of that.... thus my reason for trying to swindle them off you!! :rollin
all the best Phil
yep...that reason why is the front bumper....change that and you\'ll be fine bud!.....the bonnet is quite agressive with the large vents so your smooth bumper throws it all off
i would def get the bonnet sprayed black mate i think it would look awesome :D :D
Keep it as is, looks sweet. I wouldn\'t paint it because
1.If you did and decided to sell the bonnet on, you will be limited to selling only to owners with black cars.
2.Carbonfibre never really goes out of fashion.
3. It will cost you.
4. I have heard that cf can be a sod to paint and look right, the weave shows through the paint (don\'t know how true this is)
5. It\'s extra weight (says he with the 19" rims:Tongue1 )
If you ask me its the pop up light covers that me it look a little bit strange. Add a flush light kit :yes
i would definitely spray it black to match, it looks good now but i think with it in gloss black matching the rest of the shiny paint it would look sweeeeet!
taz
Leave it c/f, whats the point in spraying it, you may as well have saved the money and gone fpr otherwise and it does look good.
this is my mates FD, I dunno if hes on here lol go grim :)

thanks for the opinions guys its really helping me out to decide what im gonna do with this:Thumbs-up what i could really do with now is someone who is good with photoshop to put a burnout bumper on it and paint the bonnet black to see how it looks with future plans that will deffo help on the decision to keep it or to sell it on and go back to stock
Cover the rest of the bodywork in carbon to match!
Only kidding, I say leave it as is. Like Timmy said, you may as well have bought a placcy one otherwise. At the very least, leave the vents in raw carbon if you do paint it
stocker is back on i thought about it lots and it really just isnt right as said before i might as well buy a plastic jobbie and paint it rather than paint the chargespeed
i think your car would suit it painted but depends what future plans u might have etc

Does that mean you\'re selling the carbon one?? How much??
hammy i think your right it could pull it off painted but i might as well get the same one in plastic rather than paint the CF one its got a lovely finish would be a shame to paint over it :) lum it is for sale first and second dibs allready taken on it im afraid :(

What is the name/make of your current front bumper? If you\'re still thinking of swapping it I\'ll take it off your hands :Giggle
