Title: Cold Start......
Post by: SmbFD3S on April 08, 2008, 04:34:14 PM
When i first got the car it used to rev to about 3k on cold start and decline when getting warmer which i believe is standard....

From last week it now dont go past 2k rev\'s on cold start and sits there until the engine is at approx 40 degrees or so, is this a a solenoid problem does anyone know ???

Also, i have an Apexi ECU, does anyone know whether the error code checking is the same as the standard ECU i.e. links out of TEN and GND in the diagnostics box and check flashes with LED from B+ and FEN ????

If you start the car in gear (and clutch in of course!) then it will bypass the accelerated warm up, just a guess.

If you have a commander with your Apexi ECU then there is a menu which displays what sensors are and are not working :)

No, always start the car in neutral and without the clutch, will have to have a route around me thinks under the plenum....

Yeah got a commander, but while it tells you about the sensors it don\'t give you fault readings, so was just wondering whether the error check procedure works for this too....

Ah hang on - are you say its not doing the Accelerated warmup now you have put the Apexi PFC in?  If so then thats normal as it\'s not a feature of the PFC :)

I have never bridged the ports for diagnostic, so im even less help there! :o

Yes i\'m saying since the Apexi was installed it no longer does it but if it\'s not a feature then it wont lol....  Fair enough at least i now know, thanks for that, no need to check diagonstics now :D
