Title: Angled wheel/tyre valves
Post by: goldk28611 on April 08, 2008, 11:24:27 AM
I\'m having great difficulty trying to find some valves for my split rims...

The valves need to be at a right angle and fairly flat...

its 500mm in length and 250mm in height (fat side) and the long stem is about 6mm in diameter....

Their too big... :(

In the Ad it shows that the total size of the valve is over 300 mm... these i have managed to get but are too big and will not fit through the rim from the inside.... :(

Thanks though.... any more suggestions! lol

atm im preparing to do a 150 mile round trip just to \'try\' some as they think they might fit - but their bike valves...

dimentions of mine :

This is about the nearest thing i can find:-

http://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=533264 (http://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=533264)

But you\'ll need to check the fitting and diameters

yeah thats my big round trip im about to make!! :( they think it might fit so the only way i can be sure is to try b4 i buy!!
They also have some other bike valves that can be put in and then you need an extention to de/inflate them.... will be a pain with the weekly check.

Thanks for the hunt.... if this fails then im totaly stuck!! and off to the ring in 1mth today!!! :(

I\'m after some of the ones in the first link i put up on ebay but in black for my Advans as two of them are leaking air at the minute....

Finaly got them done.... not with angled valves though - as the valve is quite far back into the rim you can get a normal valve in so will keep them like this for now...

Only problem now is i have a little hole where it should be and checking the pressure might be a little more hasstle!

I will have a hunt for angled ones ready for the next set of tyres after my nurburg trip.

Would have posted a pic but they are now have tyres on....

Have 2 more wheels to do so will try and post it for future reference just incase anyone finds something like this when searching themselves...

EDIT: ...and thanks for ya help!
