Post by: Gerry M on March 06, 2004, 09:39:17 PM
Hi all

My car has a stage 1 re-A ecu, would I gain anymore power or other benefits from fitting a power fc??

cheers

the only benifit i can think of is that the power fc can be custon mapped over here, the re-A is v.difficult and not that known about yet.

if its already mapped properly then its probably not worth doing till you get more mods.

Well I havent got it yet (on the boat) but miguel reckons about the 340 mark with a good spread of power so I guess it is pretty well mapped

Redom v Power FC

1) Redom mapped on/for Jap fuel - tricky to say how much of an issue this is to be honest
2) Its not remapable - if you want to go for much more power then you\'ll need an alternative ecu or additional hardware like a fuel controller, AIC etc
3) Mine ran VERY rich, Power FC I would punt would give you slightly improved economy when mapped. Not a lot but a little :)
4) RE-Amemiya know how to map rotors
5) Power FC will cost you another £600 on the base map and a couple hundred more on top mapped

Thats a few things, there are plenty of other considerations I imagine which I cant think of atm...
