I was chatting to prof about this, apparently you can take the FD diff apart and take the gears and swap it into the FC housing, this will give u a better diff, if you get 1 of those super duper aftermarket 1s u kinda lose some drivability :)

FC turbo II is LSD anyway lol just a less efficient sort :)

Are you sure they are LSD? I always thought they were but have been told since that not all of them are and an original one is £££\'s to buy. I would like to find out once and for all.

Turbo II (and in UK the Turbo II vert) and US Convertible got a Viscous LSD, but as M1tch said you can put the Torsen unit from an FD in the housing - not sure how much if any extra work is required.

Also McPie has done a complete FD lsd into FC swap if you do a search of the 2nd gen section.

Profs idea requires less work though!

I like the idea of swapping the internals around :)

Im gonna be dropping the whole rear off the car soon, may have to think more about the diff swap   Qualified garage job I know, but would this make the car handle better (acceleration & braking) or is it more that it is more efficient with regards to drivetrain loss?

for the record
As I had few diff and some of them was FD I found some thins that fd lsd was in FC NA case! tha\'s why I had to
a) take a flansh from Turbo diff wich connect to driveshaft and make it short as NA
b) I had to use FC NA see pictures :)
c) rebalance diff

that was my broken tii

looks great, but I cound\'t connect neither drive shaft so

to make shorter TII drifr shat connector
