Title: Steering column gauge pod
Post by: SupraZed on April 01, 2008, 06:55:34 PM
Apart from the RE-A ones does anyone else do a replica version of these, I\'m sure they\'d be pretty popular if so.

I\'m after one but already have a boost gauge and the RE-A ones are about £160 including the gauge which seems a tad steep.

Failing that, I may get a twin pod to replace the dash speaker, which gauge would you reccomend after the boost gauge, I was thinking oil temp.

:)
Cheers

id say any rx7 should have a boost gauge, oil temp, water temp, oil pressure and a air/fuel mixture so u cn see if its running lean, all these will mean u cn stop n shut off the car before any damage cn be done :)

Why not get the dual gauges that SPA do....3 of these will replace the 3 gauges you have and give you 6 channels.  They are a lot cheaper than the one you quoted

This is interesting I hadn\'t seen these Dual Gauges before, does anyone have any experience of their accuracy/quality?

I emailed you some time ago regarding SPA gauges and haven\'t heard anything from you, any chance of a reply?

Thanks

Oil pressure or water temp, unless you have the apexi power FC comander, then I would say oil pressure!

i have a working oil pressure gauge in my cluster, but after fitting a good aftermarket one i completely ignore it as although it moves; it tells me total rubbish! i would say oil pressure (for safety) then oil temp so you know when the engine is ready for playtime.
