Title: Newbi wanting a FD3
Post by: Andy.B on March 31, 2008, 01:28:12 AM
Hi all i have been browsing the forum for the past day getting info for buying my first RX7. Im looking for some advice on buying an FD3 RX. It has always been in my wish list of cars to own and now i have talked my Mrs into letting me get one. :) After all i have had a few MR2 turbos so it seems a logical step to get an RX7. Just got to sell my RS4 rep first :(

Im 26 with 7 years NCB and my own garage/off street parking. So insurance shouldnt be much of an issue.

It will be only a weekend toy as i have a work van and the Mrs\'s BMW to use. I dont mind working on the car myself as im a mechanical & electrical engineer by trade and i have done a few engine rebuilds and conversions in my time. So im confident in my spanner weilding. lol

My budget im afraid is only arround the £5k mark so i doubt ill get something amazing but im always up for a bit of work if that helps. Any info on the early FD\'s i need to look out for would be greatfull, as my mate can buy imports from auction houses and said i can go to get a car with him if neeeded, but i like to have all the facts in my head when buying / bidding on a car.

Thanks

Andy :Thumbs-up
