right i have it set in my head that i want a rex for my next car ive done loads of research read all the buying guides and know that if i buy one it is probably inevitable at some stage i may have to rebuild it, ive looked at the illustrations on how the engine works so i have agood idea of them now, but one question thats bugging me is, say if it throws a tip after a few months, how often is it just the tips that need replacing, from what ive read on a few forums some lads have had to replace rotors, housings then tips etc, out of a percentage how often would you say that it\'s usually just a tip thats gone, i really really want to get an fd next but this engine is scaring the **** outta me, its not really turning me off because i like a challenge and like a change from normal piston engine, i want to learn more about them,
another quick question:
fuel consumption, is it really as bad as people say??
