My 1995 FD failed its mot today on emissions. The car is standard apart from a race cat and back box. The mot guy said that he can only test a car without a cat if its pree 92. Im sure the you can test without a cat if its a import pree august 95? is this right? if so has anybody got any info i can print off to show him?
This has been said soooooo many times !!!!
We need a sticky for this topic i think.... Use the search button mate, there\'s hundreds of threads about this...
I have looked through lots of posts but some say to test without a cat its pre 93 and others say pre 95? the mot guy said he found the car on the system but i think it was the uk one.
looks like i can be tested to 3.5co. does anybody know where on the net this info is so that i can print it off?
Yeah, 3.5% CO and 1200 ppm vol of HC on a non-cat test. I only know this for a fact cos mine just failed horribly on emissions, too. Dunno where the info is on the web, but there was a thread not too long ago where some helpful soul posted a link to the relevant site. Was quite recent, can\'t be too hard to find the thread
will keep looking, cheers lads
FYI it doesn\'t mention imports but an import you won\'t find an exact match for on the system.
