Post by: AshRX on March 27, 2008, 11:37:38 AM
Does anyone know if they are any good, ie compared to the HKS, Greddy Turbosmart ones?

Cheers

They are one of the better ones out there but you pay for quality.

Very good units - used on a lot of high powered cars - you get what you pay for. My firnd\'s running one on high powered SX and it\'s been faultess :)

Totally agree on the quality side and some would say better than HKS.  You do get what you pay for in this world of ours, very few quality items come by cheap

These are the wastegates that we are supplying with our manifold/turbo kits, and we will be running them in our cars.  They work extremely well, most of the big power turbo cars at Combe run them

Going over sized on the wastegate *CAN* cause issues with boost.

What spring do you want?

no clue. Running about 0.7 bar ( 400 atw ) at mo but will want to go up to a max of 1.5 bar. Reason i need a new wastegate is that my old one isnt closing above 0.8 bar. So need a spring that will be up to the job....if that makes sense lol

I would go for a 1 BAR spring then, but it would mean you cant use less then 1 BAR boost :D

really wanted about 0.8 bar for low boost and then 1.4-1.5 for high boost

I know on the HKS wastegates you get springs from 10psi upwards, so if you can get a rated 12psi spring for Tial then you should be good.
Any way anything less then 1 BAR is for poofs lol :rollin
