Hey guys,
I\'m getting my S5 cab back on the road after 6 months sitting in the garage (and some rear arch welding for the MOT) and I\'m wondering if anyone has a passenger side wing mirror for a white cab spare?
Been meaning to get it sorted since I got the car (...in 05 *cough, cough*) as it appears someone kindly whacked it - so much so the black plastic inside is broken!
Also after a plastic grip thingy for the petrol cap release after it \'came off\' (ie snapped) in my ex\'s hand! :2Rolleyes
I\'ll make a determined effort to get over to Billing and Santa Pod this year too (since I live down the road in Kettering!)

think your best chance on both fronts is to find someone breaking a car.
Rx7kid told me he used to have an s5 cab, hes still got a few bits off of it so maybe heel have a mirror. Look at the post he started in this section for it
Are the Cab mirrors different from TII mirrors? I have a mirror off a TII in red if thats any good. I Will have the fuel flap release lever too.
mirrors are the same and most cabs are TII\'s anyway. Think they will differ in the length of the electrical plug cable between the S4 and S5 or maybe Cab to coupe, cant remember which . I only know cos I have a set of short and long plug lead mirrors and i forgot which car I took them off. (it was a busy year)!!

Yes that is good! I\'d be happy to take both off your hands, not worried about the wiring I can extend the cable if needed :chat

Hey guys, slight thread resurrection here, but I\'m still seeking the aforementioned mirror and petrol cap lever. Can anyone help?
Also (more worryingly) my mechanic father has told me I need two new front wings as they are both rotted away from the sills behind the wheels!
Is it possible to get replacements from Mazda (or is that looking at crazy money)? Or if someone is breaking one - are all front wings interchangeable between models?

Dezzah, forgot to say we have the complete fuel & boot release lever with cables off the car. I will get the owner to give you a shout to sort out payments and delivery.

Picked up the wings from T2rew last weekend (what a nice chap), but unfortunately the mirror was the wrong side!

yes I have mate, I will double check but pretty sure I have, red or black? can you tell me if you have a short lead, say about 6" or a longer lead for the electric mirror bit. Most should be a short lead but i do have the two types.
What else did you need?
Checked today and its definitely the short lead, don\'t suppose you have the black bit of plastic that covers the screws inside do you (mine is cracked all to hell!)
As for colour, its gonna be white in the end so whichever (I guess black is easier?)
Hmm... Anything else... I\'m missing the Mazda centre bit from one of the original BBS alloys! ;)
is this for the passenger side as well? I do have some but are like rocking horse poo to get hold off. I will check and confirm which one I have but you should be in luck.
Not got the bit for the alloy but i am sure any BBS alloy will do as they are all the same shape and size generally, try the VW side of things as they are more common there. It only displays \'BBS\' and not specific to mazda so you should find something that will fit. Failing that go to Ebay USA and they will always have them floating around but you may pay for it though,they are not cheap,same for the little triangles for the mirrors.
im sure the mirror triangle bit - i have seen these cheap in carbon somewhere - could have been aus ebay ( //www.ebay.com.au )

Yep, everything good (well apart from when I took the old wings off I discovered a hefty amount of rust on the inner wing/floor pan area which I had to have welded up!). Getting them and the mirror sprayed tomorrow though :D
