Morning all,
Been a little while since I posted but back to say hi again. Went to Knockhill on easter Sunday for their Speed SUnday event, its only 4 miles from my house so i couldnt not go could i really. Anyways there was a solitary 7 sitting in the paddock with a nice set of cut slicks waiting to go out so i loitered around for a while in the baltic wind to see whos it was.
Turns out it was our very own nitronige so had a good chinwag with him then the snow blizzard started and we all thought he would have to take the slicks off but it soon cleared up phew !!!!
Anyway took some great action shots of Nige on the track on my mates cam, will be getting the pics over the next few days and will make sure i post a few up for ya Nige or drop me a line and i will mail em direct.
He was pretty quick on the straights for sure taking out everything from 2.0 turbo corsa\'s, through to well tweaked Scoobies, think he needs a bit more confidence in the twisties yet though ;-)
tried to get a good shot of the three foot flames coming out the back as he took his foot off and then replanted going into duffers at the end of the start finish straight.
She needs a clean Nige !!!!! good meeting ya and will no doubt see ya again.

It was good to meet you on Sunday and have a blether. It was really cold though!! I was seriously worried when the snow shower came over, didnt fancy changing the tyres again or go on a wet track with slicks. Luckily tho\', it pasted quickly and before I went out on to the track.
It was a super day!! first time i had gone on the track with my new slicks and big brakes, it took a bit to get use to the whole set up. I was wary on the corners, (I dont know if you saw the black Evo 7 (i think)? not a straight panel left!!). I like my car too much to go OTT, but quicker cornering should come with practice/experiance!!
The car drove brilliantly, even over took a Lotus Exige on the second outing!! I was quite chuffed, even if the guy in the lotus was or wasn\'t taking it easy.
The car wasnt clean for a few good reasons:
It was too cold to wash it,
Figured it would get dirty from the salt/ roads anyway.
laziness (probably more apt) lol.
Anyway can\'t wait to see the piccies.

just the last corner before the straight is alittle tricky if coming in at speed :cheers
im gagging.. literally gagging to get round this track this year.. dunno if i fancy the rex on a speed sunday tho.. id loose it if some crappy nove just dinged me for the hell of it :S...
Yeah the last bend is where you sit on wet/snowy days lol... sooo many people overcook it n crash :P
Am looking to get on the Track some time soon well befor head over to the Ring in July for a wee shake down, cant wait to get on the track only ever had ma old classic mini on there...
we should maybe find a date a few of us could head up safty in Numbers....
Id be up for that, used to do the \'Hot Hatch\' days in my XR2i every month, never had so much fun! However the number of times I ended up gettin pulled out the soft stuff minus a few body bits means I would probably take it easy in the Rex!
we shud go up in a few weeks, i`ll have a yellow rex to play in :D
Let me know when your going and we will hassle n4bes as well, everyone meets as my place about 9 and i throw on a load of bacon sarnies and coffee and then we can head up in convoy ;-)

am away at sea end this week and back in 3 weeks so am good any time from May onwards and the dry weather be on its way then but then it is knockhill a guess

Yeah I\'ll definately be doing it again soon!!!! Speed Sundays seem to be alot better than i remember back in\'t day. I think they have tightened things up. Your car has to be MOTd or Scrutinised, and i have seen more black flags being issued (not to me, id like to add). At the end of the day you can always ease off the throttle, if you think somethings going to happen or you think some nutter is being an ar$e...just let him go by....
i dont actually have an rx7 but i am seiously thinking about it, if a group of you\'s are going to go up at all, would you mind if i popped along and had a little look round your cars and generally picked your brains for a bit

its ben a while on here and rex still awaiting body shop.
last time i went round knocky i completey killed new front pads and discs and added abit more wear to the clutch.
would love to go round again but think less braking might help lol.
unsure if ill have rex ready in time for early this year but will keep u all informed.
also got to rip turbo`s off and replece them.
hmmm you reckon we cn get 10 rexs at once on the track lol, id take the most spins/crashes trophy tho :P
