Title: standard twin turbo type?
Post by: wee_blim on March 23, 2008, 08:06:20 PM
The standard twin turbo\'s on a FD, is there a name I can get for them to google search to find out more about them?

Basically looking to see if they can be fitted on other cars (excluding pipework obviously) but the twin turbo setup itself was wondering if it can be fitted to another engine type.

all turbos are essentialy universal. To put it simply they would work but they\'d have to be run in parallel defeats the point in useing twins. I guess you could use them sequetialy but you\'d need to use solenoids and all sorts to control them would be alot of work i guess.

would it be possible to use 1 of the turbos independantly then?

if run by non-seq you only need one actuator thats already attached which is connected to yer boost controller so all you`d really need to do is build a custom manifold..

If your not gonna run sequential and you need to make a custom mani whats the point, you may aswell put on a more common turbo so something that uses a t3/4 flange.
