Post by: fraser87uk on March 21, 2008, 10:37:57 AM
Hi there. A some of you know i went to see my first rex last night and i bought it!

It has problems hence the price i got it for. One of the problems is thback suspension knocks like a bitch. Very noisy over bumps etc. When you stop the car and get out and push the back down you can here it knocking. Any ideas guys?

Thanks

spherical bearing probably shot to ****. bit of a pain to change (cheap part tho) as you need a pneumatic press imo. check all the other bushes as well.

Yup, bound to be rear pillowballs, mine used to creak as well when you push the rear down or let it off the jack to weight bear. 3 each side, not too bad to do, car will feel like new afterwards :D

Yeah after that and an engne rebuild. Think an Apex seal is gone. But it drives a bit well for that. Might be a hose of sorts but im not holding my hopes out.
