Title: Knightsport ECU and MOT
Post by: shogun no 1 on March 20, 2008, 06:01:51 PM
Got an MOT coming up (my first with this car) and, as standard, i\'m worried about emissions .
The car has a Knightsport ECU, decat and disconnected air pump.
Would it be OK drive the car to and from the MOT with a racing cat (can\'t remember make) and air pump re-connected? Could i run the car like that for a while?
Your help would be appreciated.
Cheers.

iirc you are supposed to have the airpump if you run a cat...otherwise it gets clogged. (top of my head, dont quote me though)

I have a base map PFC, intake, exhaust and high flow cat with airpump on...passes emmisions no problem. :)

I think the knightsport ecu is just a richened standard ecu (similar to the base map on PFC) so I dont see any problems to be honest. :)

the knightsport can run a standard setup too, you should pass ok matey. make sure they take the bet test(assuming your car is an import)
