so do us guys have a stand? i remember last year i got onto a stand but i cant remember whos it was lol - anyway you have to be there by 9:30am no later
began to think wasnt going battery died on me got 1 from halfrauds started to take chrome battery box out as soon as connections came off battery posts alarm screamed,took box out sharpish put connections back on (fob wouldnt switch alarm off).eventualy whipped old battery out & stuck new one in.Couldnt get box to go in,gave up then positive terminal wouldnt tighten up & those stupid hook arrangements to hold battery in tray wouldnt lock underneath,gave up & took it slow to jet wash.back home polished then back into garage,got all but 1 side of chrome box in,undid & retightened hooks up went ok this time then undid & redid positive terminal ok now.
There must be a better way of holding battery in the tray you cant see where the hooks going & cant get your hand in to guide them.
good job had day off.

well i\'m defo coming and packing the tent just in case. If anyone wants any spares then now is the time to chirp up. As long as i can get it in the boot then it will come.
So anyone going up the A1 ? Dont mind meeting up at any point. Its about 2.5 hours for me which is ok. Only 125 miles so not so bad. Anyone else staying over and doing ther Sunday ??

Superb day and rounded off with a trophey as well. Was gobsmacked as there were other RX\'s and mazda\'s truely worthy. Seems they picked a really blingy and a fairly standardish car. Nice that, just prooves that its not all about chrome and powder coat.
Think i\'ll go to the next one but maybe defo do the camping bit and then go and see that mansion, lovely building to look at that i am sure is just as impressive in the inside.
Right nice to see a few familiar faces and a few new, great company and for me well worth the journey. gave a Ferrari a dice on the way back but lost out on pretty much everything lol. Think the shock of me pulling away made him the more determined, lovely car though and sounded soooo good. Dont ask me the type as it was over in a blink !!

Mick - yeah the merc - that was funny - he shot past staring - so when i came up behind him he had no choice but to move - i think i only took it to the red line in 3rd - so somewhere in the region of 115 ??
car was playing up a lot yesterday so i need to figure out what its doing , every so often even just cruising at 80 - the temp needle moved upwards - so when i dropped back to 60 it would cool down - then it would be fine up to 95 - and then it would move again
hence me falling back a few times - how did yours run ?? was it fine on the temp gauge
its the first time its done it - and need to figure out why :(
apart from that - top day out - was nice just sitting on the grass having food and a chat :D

Yeah noticed u dropping back a few times, my temp gauge stays at 1/4, doesnt seem to move, ran sweet as a nut, just need some tracking and balancing to do :)

Yep the guy in the merc was a weird one. I seem to overtake him quite a few times. Didn\'t have any issues at all with the 1st gen :Giggle Apart from finding a LPG station ! First time going into a petrol station and asking if they have lpg and the guy behind the counter asking what lpg is is !!!!

My temp needle only went above half for the first time and that was yesterday. It was still hot on the way home so its not surprising temps were high. Dont forget the more you push the engine the higher the temps are going to be unless you got some serious cooling power and fans that can move a mountain. Even if you suspect higher temps it might not always be the case unless you have a standalone gauge and sensor.
But other than that it was nice to share the day with some shandy drinking Northerners!! lol

i know what you mean about the temps pete !! - its not good - we put a thermomter in the back garden today in the shade - and it hit 26.8 - god know what it would be like in the sun

Just a quick thread to say a big thank you to the guys who all came to the show on Saturday.
As it was my first show and outing with the RX I was made very welcome and enjoyed talking about RX\'s.
I went again today as I only live 40 minutes from the show ground, the only RX7\'s were myself and the red Gen 2 with the graphics.
Still a good day out and lots of sun (for a change).
Thanks again guys and I look forward to seeing you at Santa Pod in August.
