Don\'t know too much about Turbo II\'s but watch out for rust as the convertable tops aren\'t totally waterproof and tends to rot out the inner sills

I\'m sure somone else can fill you in on the rest

Hello,

Q1 Compared to what? I love T2\'s they are quick handle well and Reliable if treated well.

Q2.Well the T2 engine is very simalar to the Fd, T2\'s are less Hp stock and so the Relability is usaly as good if not better. Depends on how you treat it (warm up and cool down etc)

Q3.Urm yeh Very very very Tunable people have had 700bhp from a 13b engine but Tuning is Buget related (how much are you willing to spend) then if you get board of 13b\'s you can go 20b (add another Rotor) Just get a good fuel system and you away.

Q4. T2\'s can be fitted with Kits but they are hard to get hold of and when you can there not cheap (most have to inported from the US or Japan)

Rx7\'ns are a very good car, they have alot of potental for Tuning and with minor suspension mods are very good handling.

Ok the Third gen is proberly an all round better car but then the Third gen never made a Soft top:D  At the end of the day its a personal prefrance i personaly think my Fc is the nads.LOL

If you are rust hunting (LOL) the bast places to look on a second gen is wheel well (this is the most common place),look under the floor at where the floor meets the sills.

All this is only on bad examles i have just rebuilt a poor example of a Turbo 2 (Coupe) and i had less than 4 hours of welding on the floor.

You are better off geting the car on a ramp and having a good look at it, You will find with it being a Drop top the floors are much stronger built so just get it Wax oiled every cuple of years and it will last for ever.

hey buzz

i hope you got the car checked out before you bought it, you need to maintain rotarys or they will cost big£££ to put right.

The T2 from what i hear it exellent for tunability as long as it is done right(as with every rotary) 300bhp should be obtainable on a budget.

you\'ll have fun in it thats garanteed:D

Buzz, you belive it or not the T2 is the best tool to upset Fd owners LOL they are very simalar even thought alot of people will tell you other wise.

When you get the Turbo Bug get a Fd engine Extended the ports and fit a Cosmo/T2 center plate, Fuel pump,EMS,Injectors and Ft mount and you\'ll be alot more powerfull than most FD\'s and it will cost you less than a stock fd to build.

Its good fun if your prepaired to do some of the work on the Fc yourself. ;)

For cheap bits try this place //www.rxmotors.com

Welcome to the T2. if you have any problems PM me.

Chris.
