Title: KG Parts FPR mounting bracket
Post by: nikp on March 17, 2008, 09:44:17 AM
It seems a good place to mount the FPR as supplied by KG Parts in the secondary fuel rail kit is to fix it to the UIM where the wastegate and turbo pre control solenoid used to mount. Does anyone make a suitable bracket? Or have the ability to make one for me that won\'t cost an arm and a leg? :D

i was going to mount mine there but i thought that if i got a fuel leak then it was a bit to close to the alternator for my liking so i mounted it next the the ABS, just drilled out the hole a bit and cut a little bit off.

ive mounted mine like boberts but closer to the LIM, i used a small bit of flat ally and fixed it to the mounting point for the boost control solenoids in the rats nest.  its no closer to the alternator than the secondery rail and pipe work there (or not a lot) and still looks the part.

bobbert do you find you still get heat soak on the air temp sensor with that cover at the front of the UIM? mine is almost perfect now as i have air flowing through.
