well that time has come to get the engine rebuilt, its going to lindop motorsport and they seem very helpfull people and where really willing to help me!
anyways the car is going in at the end of this month it will be getting street ported and mapped on a apexi ecu! before it go\'s i will be doing the rats nest fitting a new front mount intercooler and rad it also has "high flow" intake pipe\'s and its staying with the twins!
does any one know what sort of bhp mark i shall be around once it comes back to me (knowing i have to run it in first)

What\'s the reason for the rebuild, i thought you had just gotten it compression tested with good results?

as for the rebuild the water seals or some thing like that have gone, alot of buring water, overheating, hoses gettin to hot and poping off andthe fact i just want a new engine lol
Probably around 300 - 330 rwhp if all parts changed ie injectors, fuel pump etc
what size injectors and pump will be needed?

Mine is at Lindops at this very moment! Looks like all the Newcastle cars are having a few probs of late!
If its any help im running 316 BHP at the fly with 0.8 bar boost, standrd fueling and obviously standard twins. Ive got all the bolt-ons fitted though (Apexi Power FC, GReddy down pipe, straight thro mid-pipe, back box, filters, uprated SMIC etc etc).

not bad mate how long do you think yours will be there for? they said once myn is there it will only be in for a week and a half or so, yeah i think i just going to stay with stock fueling for now like! and like i say they are fitting me a apexi power fc and mapping it for me! want to see your car like looks the dog balls lol

Are you running any sort of boost controller with that? Or just decent mapping? Just wonder wether you get any boost spikes?
Oops, yeah running a GReddy Profec B Spec 2 to keep the boost stable.
Very nice unit and easy to use too. Pip mapped the car and told me not to touch the boost tho, lol!

Just waiting on a progress report now fella, dropped her off last Tuesday.
Not sure when she\'ll be ready. Getting a few essential bits fitted whilst the engine is out and then an MOT put on.
The car will be hacky after a trip to Chester via flatbed, so give me a chance to wash and polish before you see it! I\'ll have to fetch her down to the local meet. Failing that head up to Crail like im doing in April and get some re-build miles on yours!

hmm whats going on at crail? and what date i am away the 4th 5th and 6th of april and will not get my car back till the week after or so... i would not mind like as it will take me years to put run in miles on it as i never use it! btw is your engine ported at all?

Im off up the day before. Booked me and the GF into a nice country stylee hotel to score some points, being as ive been talking nowt but cars lately!
Engine has standard porting. Did think about getting it ported and sorting the fueling, but its quick enough for me and i\'ll probs be looking to sell in the next 12 months, once finished.

Just thinking bout selling mate, not 100% sure yet, as dont know what id get!
Figured id give myself a year to think about it! Maybe fancy a \'99 model when they are available next year or something different.
Are you getting Lindop to pick your car up? Mine was too low so I sorted my own out, but it wasnt cheap :(

shame you werent at the JNE meet, was a red FD with an LS1, he does post on here but i carnt remember for the life of me what his user name is, sorry.
i would get a bigger fuel pump along with some secondaries and with the streetport you will see some good figures at 0.8bar. what kind of boost level are you planning on running??
hey mate yeah i know the lad is called conner66 or something like that! met him before! yeah i will be going single in the future as i have not got the fund just yet mate! you think you will be at the next JNE meet? i should defo be there like, as for boost am not t sure yet will just see what the car can hold easy untill fuel upgrades have been made!

When you thinking fitting your parts? Although it\'s probably easier just giving them to the garage and getting them to fit them when the engine\'s out. But give me a shout if you still want a hand fitting all your shiny bits.

hey mate yeah i know paint in the ass, yeah they said they would fit all the shiny bits for me! along with other bits and bobs! did you get your car sorted mate?
yep, get me new bonnet fitted, clutch changed, new tires fitted, front pads changed (2 of the pins had seazed so had to get a garage to press them out for me), fixed a boost leak and changed my HT leads. Been a busy month (and costly) But she\'s running like a dream now, with the new bonnet you can really hear the tubbies spooling up new, sounds like a fighter jet!

Got the heads up on mine fella. Steve says the water seals had gone and the centre plate was badly corroded.
Its getting re-built as we speak, so fingers crossed she will be back home in one piece before too long :)

I got the bonnet from Scotti on JNE. The lad you know who was breaking the black RX7. Mine must be running at least 400000bhp now. Seriously i haven\'t a clue, it made 220 bhp on the first tubby at 4000 rpm but the clutch went when the 2nd came on, so only showed 267 bhp, but you can see the clutch slipping on the graph. Gonna get it back on come payday and I\'m hoping for around 300 (hoping for more obviously, but trying to stay realistic).

yeah i did mate that was just matt black since i have a big space in my engine bay with alot off stuff gonce i painted it again with satin black then a lil clear coat looks better now with a shine to it!
