Title: Fuel Upgrade for Twins
Post by: Timmy on March 15, 2008, 11:57:53 AM
I\'ve done some searches and come up with several different answers for what a can do but nothing really conclusive.
I will be wanting to run 0.9-1 bar on stock twins sequential setup.

Obviously the fuel pump needs changing the nippon denso (rx7store.net) looks like it\'s the best option to me as it easy to install and adequate for the job and also reasonable money.

Than the big ballache is injectors and/or rrfpr.

Option 1 just increase the fuel pressure with an rrfpr and see what it can run

Option 2 660cc primary injectors direct replacements (sound like a good balance for tick over but will they cope)
http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm/SARD-660cc-X2-Primary-Injectors-RX-7-13B-REW-FD3S-13002 (http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm/SARD-660cc-X2-Primary-Injectors-RX-7-13B-REW-FD3S-13002)

Option 3 850cc primary injectors (are they a direct replacement?)
http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm/SARD-850cc-Injectors-8509 (http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm/SARD-850cc-Injectors-8509)

Option 4 1680cc secondary injectors (seem over kill to me and pricey if not needed)

Will options 2, 3 and 4 need a aftermark rrfpr i can see no reason to unless i need to raise from standard base pressure.

Comments please.

Timmy, was running 4 x 850\'s on an apexi ecu and upgraded downpipe, exhaust, intercooler & Intake 300rwhp at 1 bar.

The bosch044 pump used was good to 340rwhp on a single and is forsale with approx 2000 miles of use good as new - £70 delivered o.n.o if interested :yes

The only reason i have for staying clear of the bosh 044 is the extra cost in fitting it, as i understand you plumb it into the fuel line and mount it somewhere between the stock pump and fuel rail. How much should fitting roughly cost. Also the TT pump i know is very good as its made by denso and will also be brandnew for only a touch more money than a second hand 044.
