Well a week ago she went off to pips for a remap, comp test and check up.. the story lol..
On the mapping session the car was spiking for some reason even tho i had the wastegate ported to 30mm for the non-seq conversion. had the man baffled lol.. long story short the tubbys had to come off, turns out the wastegate flapper was hitting the manifold so a small section of the metal had to be cut away so it could open alot more... after this there was still a bit of a spike, the exhaust is 4" for some odd reason so Pip had to make a small reducer bung from 4" to 3.5", after this the cars boosting great with no probs.. SUPERB!!!!!!!!
Another great bit of news, comp tests showing high 6`s at 150rpm which pip says is running a little slow, so at 250rpm it`ll be showing 7`s which is normal.. o and shes running 350BHP @ 0.7bar on twins WOOHOO!!

i am runnin non seq aswell and had mine setup on tues getting 370 at the flywheel 309 at the back wheels.

I was there yesterday getting mine mapped, very happy with the result, and Pip was top - I was looked after, he took care of my car, and it\'s just awesome fun to drive now :)

Ah yup, saw that one, they were just fanning out the flames when i got there, byy the time i left it looked okayish, i imagine the ding will beat out and you won\'t notice it that much after a bit of work and a blow over:)

hey how scary is it watching your car taking a kicking on the dyno lol.. had to laff pip had his head down at the turbo`s when it was on the dyno, another guy was reving it.. u just saw him sh!t himself n jumped back like 5 feet hehe
Lucky it wasnt one of those big T88 things, other wise this pip chap would have no head left........or body.....maybe a shoe though

The worst bit was when Pip wandered back into reception - i was convinced he was going to tell me it was totally shafted! Instead he informed me that my rather pessemistic power figures were a bit off :Thumbsup!

well im 250miles away from pip so just sorting out the noo when to go n get it lol.. prob just gunna get my m8 to trailor it up, shud save me on the crazy optimax fuel prices on the motorways :P
What other mods are you running to get that power?
greddy fmic, large alloy rad, hks rs air filters, 4" exhaust, non-seq conversion, apexi fc + commander, standard block but i ported everything i could without stripping the engine.. and cars still on .7 bar of boost :)

Iv got stock SMIC, uprated fuel pump, 3.5" exhaust, hks filters, pips ali rad and street port still runing seq at .85 only reached 318 at the fly running a greddy emanage as iv had 2 poss 3 Apexi\'s fail on me, while pips had the car
i made 320 rw at 1.0 bar with stock twins and Water Injection included in the mods. The turbos didn\'t last long thuough.
You should be able to pump that up a bit with good fueling and a wee bit more boost.
cars running stock fueling bud, poss an uprated pump as its very winey on priming but not sure, yeah pip said with bigger injectors fpr and a pump id easyly see another 30-40bhp..
i really cant get over how much she`s pushing.. :D even pip was surprised lol
Well, I\'m more than chuffed - with a PFC controlling a stock (as far as i know) ported engine, with power mods of intake, full exhaust(silenced midpipe, HKS front), and v-mounted uprated SMIC (XSP) and 99 spec twins, I made 343 atf, or in real world figures, 288 atrw, very happy with that :) Injectors running to 89% :)
It\'s a lot of fun :D I find it hard to think of ever losing the twins!

Complete rebuild with porting etc. New uprated clutch and mapping of powerfc once it was rebuilt.
When you look at the amount of work done 6K seems abit on the high side, but cant fault the quality of work. Guess it\'s the old you get what you pay for.

Plus, compared to my SX, the early boost is just brilliant, just a bunch of low down torque and near instant response - love it!

but think off all the fuel you`ll save with no boost till 3.5k lol.. im dreading the first test drive tho.. paddle clutch, 2 way diff and a kick up the arse at 4k.. tizs going to be interesting to say the least..

yeah 350 fly, 300 at the wheels, if i go the uprated fueling route then i cn prob sqeeze 340 wheel power..

I aint got a clue what power mine is fella as it was mapped on the road.... but I know it is shed loads better than it was & he recons it\'s nocking on the door of 335 might even be as high as 350, & that is with a rather unhealthy engine :( In the process of having a nice shiny one street ported with fresh housings & cant wait till the winter to drop it in :)

nice :D well if pip had the injectors in stock i wud have just went the full hog n had all the fueling mods done, then maybe in a few months a single.... but hey.. iv got my eye on a wide arch kitted single rex the noo so see what happens..
I have approx the same power and same mods, mine made only 345 at the fly but i have a large fmic, standard fuel running .8 bar. I have just got rid of the air pump and installed pipes which dont inflate and mess my power up. so i may have about 10 to 15 more now. I might go for another .2 bar with my new uprated fuel system then go single, like you guys are thinking.

There really should be something available to steady your nerves whilst watching your baby on the Dyno.... was fun seeing the massive sheets of unburnt fuel and vapour belching out the back of her though!!!
I called in last Friday to have a chat and check out the place had a quick chat with him and booked in there and then (2 weeks waiting list). Just hope she comes back ok as I love the car and only havin it for only just over a week I dont want to fall out with her! Which I dont think is going to happen puts a smile on my face just looking at her.
lol it`ll come back running perfect, the bill might not be tho lol.. mine cost me £750, that was for a remap, had to have the wastegate machine as i went non-seq and the flapper was hitting the back of the manifold, pip was stumped why cus i ported it 30mm lol, o well, so remap, comp test, tubby removal/fitting and a reducer plate fitted to the 4" exhaust to bring it down to a 3.5" diameter to prevent a slight boost creep.
Car now is amazing! runs perfect, best £750 iv spent on her yet :D
Nice one my car is total standard apart from a big exhaust and boost gauge. so itsnice to know that she will be in good hands and that people are happy with his work as he comes across as a nice guy.

Mine was about the same - total bill wa sa tad more though as i had Pip fit a new fuel filter that I had decided not to tackle - 15 minutes and it was in!
I couldn\'t bear myself to watch it on teh Dyno - i just sat in the other room hoping for the best!
