Title: Date of first use
Post by: Swanny_UK on March 14, 2008, 04:22:33 PM
Guys,

Im trying to find the genuine date of first use of my FD3.  It was imported into the UK in 2000, but was manufactured in 1995.

The VOSA website has a recorded date of the 31st December 1995, however Im dubious about this, and would like to get this clarified by Mazda in Japan.  Ive been given a contact name by Mazda UK customer services, the Homologation Manager, and Ive written to him, but my MOT\'s at the end of the month and I\'d like to get it clarified.

Does anyone on here have any contacts, or know someone I can contact that could get clarification from Mazda in Japan?

I know the car in its current state can pass the non CAT (>3.5% CO + >1200 PPM HC) easily, just  want to make sure that the DVLA werent being lazy when they just slapped the last possible day of 1995 on the records!

Thanks in advance!

Chris

Well, following the above information from the rather cool website.  I now have confirmation in my possession from the Homologation Manager at Mazda UK that my vehicle was indeed manufactured on 22nd July 1994!

Now to get the DVLA to amend there details!
