So wonderfulöl day people! finally got the lady maztilda fd home from the seller.
There was few things that got my attenttion.
first of all. when i started her cold, there was NO 3000rpm idle, it went to around 800 rpm almost right away. I suppose this means that the idle thingy is modded/disabled?
I also noticed that the adle was a bit rough, not jumping around or so, but i would say that it was like.....hmmm sounded like a piston engine with a little bit too low idle..a bit rough, maybe like between 800 and 900 rpm small hunting. i drove her home (15km\'s) and the idle was fine. suggestions?
The seller (one person company/impoprter) said also that he thinks that there is the non sequential mod done as he felt that the boost curve is stable. i havr to hook up a gauge and see what it says.
everything else was fine. i hate the oem radio as it finds one swedish language station and i hate those guys as much as Indiana Jones hate Nazi\'s :D
wheel alligment has to be done as it pulls a bit to the right.
Now going to buy some dexelia 10W-30, oil filter that seems to be same as rx-8 one, change the coolant and drivetrain oils.
have you people used the Red Line water wetter? should i add the whole bottle (1 liter i think) to the system and then add 30% glykol/water mix? Oh and does distilled water mean the same water you use in the battery? sorry my language barrier
have you got a link to the advert from which you bought it?
if non seq the 3k warmup should be disabled, mine sure was if you look at the back of the plenum there should be a metal pipe with nothing attached? thats if left on o/c just let her warm up before you drive and should be fine bud : )
