Post by: batman on March 11, 2008, 02:40:26 PM
having put a de cat on the rex and loving it im finding the car now on long journeys gives me a bit of a ringing in my ear and having to go to south of france this summer in it is concerning me . so i want to put a silencer in the decat pipe to take the edge of the scream and quieten it abit but been to my local exhaust specialist who advised me on replacing it with the cat again boooo dont want to do that loving the flames to much and he advised me that a normal silencer would melt as the cat can take more heat than a silencer . so im stuck ....
he mentioned looking at rotary parts in aus and saying they might have more to offer than uk vendors any help

ps whats the spark plugs to go for and model numbers i think i need a change is there much difference between the ngks and the irridium tiped ones ????  :Thumbsup!

get a good silenced mid pipe, a proper one that actually has a big silencer on it like FEED or Greddy .. .. ..
regarding to the plugs, what mod are you running? ngk 7s with 9s is the choice for standard to mildly modified cars i believe.

Drop Martin a line at Speedline Imports. He has a few silenced de-cats at the mo. Am sure he\'ll be able to help you out.
