i havent spoken to him yet but heard that he is really busy at the minute.
i also need to arrange the trailler again as i think my cousin\'s rally car is on it.
which day do you think would be the better day to go??
looks like the weather is going to be bad but fingers crossed :D
Dont think anyone will turn up if its snowing but we shall see

matt
Fingers crossed, although I do have my sledge ready :)
I only live 15miles from the strip 6.00am 2inch of snow and still falling so its not going to happen today guys
yep same this side as weel ads.
matt
Its all melting now but we ended up with a good 4 inch covering by the time it finished. Its got to be dodgy for the monday meet also.
Kevin
you got snow...not a sign of it in chorley :(
Here you go Stu just so you know what its like. Enough to make a snowman for my daughter this morning.
Kevin
superb Kev - loving your handy work !!
that is one rather large snow man lol
been sunny here all day, overcast now though
Most of the snows gone now but theres still some on the ground. Guy\'s at york brushed the strip clear and got 200 runs or so in today though i\'m not sure i\'d want to try in a rwd motor.
Kevin
today was the mini vs beetle shootout, and lets face it both camps are mad anyway:)
matt
Dry and sunny today so they should be racing without issue. I won\'t be there myself as i made other plans after yesterdays weather.
Kevin
as kev says beutifull and sunny, im getting my stuff togeather now
matt
if anyone goes today give me a ring on 07946141327.
matt

If I can get the car back together I hope to try a few runs myself on Saturday, (if its fine).

Chris felt fine when up at 6 as usual but at 8 the excess of saturday in the pub watching Hull hit me & went back to bed,by the time i got up again didnt feel safe to drive. How did you get on ?
Hi Pete,
Sorry you felt like cr p, prob a sensible thing not to drive after a good night on the beer.
Had a reasonable day at the drag strip, my main aim was to try some power launches and get a better feel for the car under load and I was fairly please on the day.
Put in four runs, first over 14 secs 1/4 mile time at over 100 mph, second run missed third gear (twice) but still just over 14 secs and over 100 mph, third run launched at 3000 rpm which felt like it lifted the front end (prob only the back suspension sinking), managed high 13 secs and last run launched around 3,500 rpm which produced lots of rear axle \'tamping\', front seemed to lift again (my daughter watched and described the front lifting and twisting, which accounts for me trying to keep it pointed down the track, finished with 13.6 sec at 98 mph.
All in all a good day, except twisting the sump !
Chris
what kind of spec are you running mate?? the "tamping" that you describe will most probably be wheel hop. you managed to swist the sump, how?? does it need replacing??
was it very busy?? was going to go but went to the scoobyshoot out
Hi Karl,
It was a decent day out, no rain, lots of sun, but an 18 mph wind that seemed to blow all day !
The event was a mixture of big block yanks and lots of skylines, a mixture of other Japanese cars and euro hot hatches. Unlimted rwyb for £30.
I was running the car on 0.9 bar boost map which gives 450bhp just until I get used to the car.
Not sure if its the sump or block thats twisted !
Yes your right, the tamping was wheel hop and only happened on the last run when I launched at about 3,500 rpm. I\'m running a Racing Beat six puck clutch, so no clutch slip, and 275 wide rear tyres, so no wheel spin, new bushes etc and a Dragon diff brace, so hopefully little diff movement.
Oh well, I\'ll start the strip down tomorrow night.
Chris
the first time i took my car down was at york the other bank holiday, i was launching at 4k ish with little spin but with only 225 tyres.
hope you get it sorted soon mate.
