Anyway details as follows and the list so far:
Right guys, its time to arrange the next Activity Day
It’s to be held on Sunday 15th June â€" so venue, North Weald airfield. Address: Merlin Way, North Weald http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl...847&t=h& z=18
There will be a slight increase in price due to the fact we have to pay for another Marshall now (big thanks to the biker who gate crashed last time ) I’m also going to reduce the attendees down to 17, this brings the price to a nice round £70 each plus reduces queuing / increases track time a bit
Same goes as last time though â€" passengers are free as are second drivers. You can even bring more than one car with you, you can only queue one car at once though! So no queue jumping with your second car â€" unless you buy two places of course
For those new to these here are some details:
The activity day is the perfect place to explore the limits of your car without the risk of damaging it. All activities are set up in a way to minimise the chance of you hitting anything should you loose control. You don’t even need to wear helmets its so safe! There will be 2 instructors on site on the day to give you hints and tips to improve your driving. These guys will even come out in your car if you wish, either in the passenger seat or drivers! Time permitting of course
The Activities: High Speed Corner, 2x timed circuits. Basically the usual but if anyone has any suggestions on an alternative activity let us know on this thread and I’ll run it by them. Safety will be the only restriction
As per usual we will have our resident photographer on site doing her stuff

Thanks to those who have all paid :cool:
To those who haven\'t (or at least arranged payment with me) your spaces are only safe until end of business today. I know its harsh but there has to be a cut off date - and I have given over a month of notice so its not as if you haven\'t had time to arrange payment!! Those that I have email addresses I have also requested payment personally but as of writing this post I have heard nothing back.
So, to those on the reserves keep an eye out on this thread, at some point between 5pm and tomorrow morning I will free up the remaining unpaid spaces. Those spaces will then be offered on a first paid first served basis. Payment methods at this point will only be Paypal, cash direct into a branch of HSBC or Online Bank Transfer from YOUR HSBC. Basically to give the space to the first paid I need to see the payment immediately. Payments online from another bank other than HSBC will take upto 4 days - no good.

I would just like to point out that Mark\'s access was recently suspended due to unreasonable comments on others gender preferences. Thus he then used my account to throw suspicion onto you too with the previous post. I could never have written something so damaging about a friend! :Nono! However i would just like say, on the subject of transexuality, that Mark ... takes one to know you big girls blouse!!!
On a serious note he says yes of course you can come, spectate, grab passenger rides if poss, the more the merrier! Also there is a long way to go yet so keep your eye out as someone may pull out!!

Briefing for Drivers and passengers
On arrival at the airfield please all congregate near the toilet blocks at the top of the airfield. Mark and I should already be on site to meet you.
There is a STRICT 20mph speed limit around the airfield. Unless you are \'on track\' you must adhere to these limits. I am told that the airfield police (one in particular) has a speed gun and will use it along with their right to impound your car if you break the rules.
The same goes for those coming \'off track\'/\'finishing activities\'. Please exit the course at a sensible speed. They are VERY laid back about spectators and photographers being able to view from all around the airfield and I personally don\'t want to lose this privilege. I was at an airfield recently where the regulations are so strict that there is little to no viewing opportunities which just makes the day dull. So again please no \'funny business\' exiting the course.
NO ONE can participate as a driver or a passenger without signing on and have a briefing first. Please don\'t cause delays on the circuits by getting to the front without a wristband. As a driver you will have already paid Mark. PASSENGERS / 2nd Drivers ARE FREE so all you need to do is sign on. Come and find me and I will have the relevant forms for you to fill in.
YOU CAN BRING MORE THAN ONE CAR however one driver cannot queue 2 cars at the same time. We will have stickers on windscreens so we can easily see which cars are registered on the day and if 2 are being queued at once. Please don\'t make me use my best moves on you by taking the pee and being removed from the queue.
There will be a lunch break at which time we all go to the local. IF YOU ARRIVE BACK FROM LUNCH BEFORE ANDY, MARK or MYSELF, please park up and wait. DO NOT take it upon yourself to take your car out for a quick spin. Again the airfield police will impound your car.
IF you see someone you do not know PLEASE ASK. We had some gate crashers on mopeds/bikes who seriously put the entire event in jeopardy by participating on a course that was in fact closed. Not our fault however I reiterate, if you see someone you don\'t know please ask. Also the event usually pulls a good crowd if the weather is nice so again, if you see anyone you don\'t know please ask. We encourage spectators to come but we don\'t want anyone who is not part of the forums, family, friends or been invited by one of you. This puts the airfield\'s security at risk.
PLEASE LISTEN!! I know a lot of you coming have been before but certain events do mean that this time the safety briefing by Andy may be different. In any event you should all listen carefully. If you do not arrive in time for the briefing please see me.
Lastly .... Absolutely NO SHOWING OFF on the roads surrounding the airfield. There have recently been lots of complaints from local residents, not about our group, with regards to speeding, drifting, overtaking on the surrounding country roads. Please drive around/leave the airfield with respect.
You will need to see me to fill in a form prior to the briefing so I know who to call when you pee your pants with excitement.

My early attempts at drifting cost me that wheel, came out of a turning with the @rse end swinging out and smacked a kurb!! :spank Learnt early on the reasons why street drifting is not such a good idea with a decent car! Well not until you know what you are doing ;)
And we are only late when we have agreed to meet others on route and they are late!!! :p
We are definitely going to be on time at this one as i\'m visiting my Grandads and soon to be Nans grave / resting place to do some tidying up on the way, so will be coming down on our own.

High speed corner starts at about 9.30am depending on how late everyone is. Circuits mainly in the afternoon which is the best spectating.

We have asked Andy before about this before ... Mark hates it in the RX as it smacks the side skirts too etc.
We will mention it to him again in the morning. You\'ll have to do it a couple of times and the new comers will have to do it too. Like it or lump it. BUT we have all paid a little extra this time I believe to have a second \'marshall\' on site from car limits for the day so hopefully will be able to get something going mid morning, but I can\'t promise anything.

Seems a little confusion here:
The High speed corner wont last all morning! Normally for the first couple of hours at the most!!

On a serious one Andy insists on running this first of all as he says it calms every down a little for the track sessions. And as Cheryl mentioned we have tried to get the high speed corner duration reduced previously (hence why it now doesnt last all morning!)
I\'ll have another word with him and see if we can get it reduced further and as just about everyone who is going has been before we may get somewhere, but no promises.

On a serious one Andy insists on running this first of all as he says it calms every down a little for the track sessions. And as Cheryl mentioned we have tried to get the high speed corner duration reduced previously (hence why it now doesnt last all morning!)
I\'ll have another word with him and see if we can get it reduced further and as just about everyone who is going has been before we may get somewhere, but no promises.
