Title: Mazda part numbers, prices and dealers
Post by: Wav on March 03, 2004, 01:22:11 PM
I just had a thought that a sticky thread could be put up, with parts numbers of often needed items, prices charged, quality of service and where they were bought from, with respect to mazda dealers (possibly other places if cheaper/better)

This would give us all an idea of what dealers are import friendly, how much they charge for a set item and what the exact part number was, so that the desired part can be ordered easily and you\'d know whether you were being ripped off or not.

We could start off with the water pump as i\'m sure alot of people would be interested in the part number of this type of item, how much it was and what dealer it was from

Other things could be, oil filter, fuel filter, the rx8 illuminating gear knob:cool  , OE air filter, engine/diff mounts, rear bushes etc etc etc.....

What do you guys think?

Kind Regards,

Paul:)

Good idea.

Maybe could add helpful dealerships into it.  Would be handy.  My nearest Mazda parts is in Ashford and are friggin awful!!!!  Wouldn\'t quote me for a fog light switch as I didn\'t have a part number.  Explained there wouldn\'t be one as jap cars dont need fog light  and that I was after uk spec but no, not interested.  Name and shame thats what I say.

Water pump/housing - N3A115100A - £62.70 +VAT
Gasket for Water Pump - N3A115116 - £3.88 +VAT
Gasket - N38615162 - £2.12 +VAT

And a big-up for Lythgoe Mazda in Bolton...very helpful indeed

Neil,

I\'ve always had the same problem with Blackpool Mazda, they are not prepared to search a part without a valid UK chasis number, Perry\'s of Preston\'s Mazda dealers do the same.
Maybe we could find out a valid UK chasis number, and all use the same one so we can use the Mazda Dealers as if we had UK RX7\'s !

Cheers Ben,

Is looking good, we just need someone in the know, to put up a table at the top with this information entered (bit like the 1/4mile table) and to also make it sticky:bandit

Cheers,

My Local dealer (Wrights in Norwich) needed a chassis number before even an enquirey could be raised and told me delivery would be approx 6 weeks for anything i ordered.

So i called jimmy\'s:
knock+throttle position sensors off the shelf £60+VAT.

Cool:cool, you got the parts number anywhere??, so you can post them here:D.

I used Clive\'s UK chassis number; he just recently posted it on a clutch thread, if you want to search for it or i can pm you. But i don\'t want to blatantly write his chassis number all over the boards for obvious reasons:)

Think WGT in Northwich gave a quote of less than the one listed above for a full water pump. And i\'m sure they are cheaper than mazda for most items and have a very good reputation on here.

Hope this helps,

Paul:)

Don\'t suppose the same could be done for the FC by any chance?

Here is a new code for FD3S wheel studs:

Wheel studs     J00Y - 33 - 062  Â£3.26each plus VAT

I got them from Gordon Lamb in Nottingham and the young lad that works there already knows my name :eek and is a helpful chap:). Just hope it doesn\'t get like it did with the peeps at renault when I used to own my 5, i\'m pretty sure they used to rub their hands together in anticipation when they knew i was coming, due to the amount of cash I spent there , lol however they were also nice blokes and ended up giving me a trade account ;)

Anyone know the part number for the black rubber stops in the boot that sit just behind each taillight under the plastic covers?? Think mine have worn down and contributing to the hatch squeak noise.

There\'s a new Mazda garage in Sighthill in Edinburgh...... good prices, seemed very keen to get me anything I wanted (with or without a chassis number) just to encourage me to come back to them. Think it\'s cos there\'s another Mazda garage about 3 miles away so they\'re looking to take as uch business from there as possible.

They all stood around the FD pointing and going ooohh aaahhhh! Don\'t think they\'ve ever seen one at all! hehehehe   :D

Murray Mazda - Sighthill Edinburgh, might not be in the book yet but phone Murray Volvo in the same place (it\'s one big garage) if yo can\'t get the number

I use Northwood garage on the Isle of Wight and they are usually very helpful with or without part no but it’s allot simpler with.
I\'ve got a copy of the Mazda epc with last years price list and Nortwood’s prices usually seem to be the same.

Hi There,

Not sure if this is helpful,  but //www.iluvmyrx7.com
carries all the Mazda workshop manuals and Parts Fiches for FCs and FDs. Not had a detailed look but don\'t the Parts Fiches list all the parts and their numbers ? Worth a look. Go to 2nd Generation -> Things To Read -> Manuals -> Parts Fiches and download the pdf.

Wrights have improved as I\'ve ordered a few things from them and they\'ve always been fine with no chassis number and me telling them the car\'s an import. Items have taken a couple of days to arrive.

Latest order:

Part No: N3A115610A
Description: SENSOR, WATER LEVEL
Price: £23.74 + VAT

TO SQUEAKY   -                                                                                              dont know if you got a fog light switch but a company called durite do a great universal round rocker switch in black about 12mm across with built in led that goes in any dash for any reason, any good auto electrical or motor factors will deal with them.

Big thumbs up for Robinsons Mazda in Leicester, parts guy there is very helpful and no problem with the import chassis numbers, enquirys usually have a 2-3 day turn around.
Bought loads of bits from there. Also VERY helpful with locating parts for my Cosmo 20B,the look on their faces when I took it in for an MOT,is it really a Mazda they asked......??

Some dealers are import friendly, some are not, they told me they\'d be silly not to cater for them as the parts side of things is worth alot in terms of turnover.

Hi All,

Be very careful with the prices as I have found that Mazda release price codes to dealers once a month meaning prices can go up, but it also means that prices somtimes go down as well:Thumbs-up ,

We now quote every standard part because of this on enquiry only.

And will not be able to put standard Mazda prices on our new shop when it goes live because of this.

Hope this helps

We have always had Mazda parts priced and displayed on our shop, Ive only ever noticed price increases once or twice a year if that, Im usually kept pretty much up to date, if Ive been busy it means a customer has picked up an item for slightly less, until I get chance to updat.
You can click on some of our pictures to expand to a larger picture which will often show how it goes together.
The Mazda pricelist which I have in 2 formats is massive, and Im still trying to work out a way to import striaght in to my shop, but at the moment I manually enter each one. Because of that not everything is in there, but normally a quick email to me with the part you are looking for, and I\'ll put a picture of it and a product on my shop for easy ordering.

Follow this link
http://www.rotaryart.uk.com/acatalog/New_3rd_gen_engine_perf_tuning.html
then click on the image that says engine gasket set for instance, or turbo gasket. it will open up to a bigger picture with all items listed.

Would recommend Robinsons Mazda in Leicester, speak to a guy in the parts department called Steve.

Very helpful, trying to replace a hose i sliced, gave him the part number and it doesn\'t exist on the Mazda UK system so he went off and organised getting the JAP part number raised as a UK part number so he could supply the part, i live in Brixton which is nowhere near Leicester but they are more than happy to post and package the part.

Steve said they are always happy to help and build on their experience with imports RX7\'s so for genuine parts, give them a go...

Incidentally, i only called them after reading this thread so thumbs up for the idea of this thread !

I can also help out here as I have the complete R.H.D Genuine Mazda EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog) for Mazda cars and Trucks sold in the UK and Australia from 1985 on wards.

I also have some are PDF Parts books on the RX-3, Cosmo and a few other rotaries.

So if you want genuine part numbers I can help.

You must tell us what Year and or Model Mazda (i.e. RX-7 or RX-8 or 626 or 323 or Mazda 2,3,5,6) you are talking about...
In most cases a Chassis or VIN number will reveal everything, that is the JM_ _ _ _ _ _
one., or the S124A_ _ _ _ _ _ .., LA23S_ _ _ _ _, or CB2MS_ _ _ _ _ .
