This is a gay thread about blow off sounds.....

Ok every car I seem to import has a HKS super sequential valve on it, and indeed even my own car has one on and frankly im sick of the sound of the high pitched chirping bird.

So im wondering who has what on there car? As im after a change.

I\'ve got a few options:

1.) Blitz Supersound
2.) Greddy Type RS (the new one)
3.) Apexi Supersound (although whenever i\'ve had these the ring to adjust it has always seemed loose and never stayed in the set position
4.) HKS new super sequential...... but I assume it still has the same sound as original?

I\'ve got the HKS one & it has got one single dump of pressure..... if you are getting a chirping more than likely it is turbo surge (wastgate chatter as it is more comanly known) basicaly the pressure spring is too tight & it is not venting to atmosphere!

I have a Sard R2D2 - does the job, doesn\'t chirp and makes an ok sound.

all hks one chirp..cheapest i have found and used is the bailey one but any other type will do the job..just they can be a bit pricey for the jap ones

I have greddy RS and I love it. Makes a slightly dampened woosh

not too sure on the type rs as i had a brand new one and didnt really sound great at all.

i have an old HKS SSV on mine and its a very loud WHOOSH.

there are alot of vids on youtube which may help you decide but boost is a bif factor.

Also if you get a vented bonnet the sound increases so much that i think you end up not caring as much about the sound as its so loud its great.

No pics yet because the intake tube isn\'t fitted to the car yet :) They do a sleeper series one now as well....
