Title: non sequential
Post by: tyson23 on February 28, 2008, 06:45:28 PM
hi
just converted to the non sequential via the poor mans process so can undo
took out for blast and found it was pants the turbo\'s seem to cut in around 4000-4500 is the norm coz when mine was sequential it seems to cut in at lower revs and pull better...me thinks i will be changing back in the morning....

any ideas if this is how it is or is there something wrong

Well, I am not sure what you were trying to achieve by going non-sequential? Mazda made it sequential so that the power would be available at low and high revs.

The boost is the same up high. The benefit of this mod is to eleminate the slight dip in the boost as you pass through 4.5 k. However, you lose a lot of the low down boost.

So it\'s like a laggy, very small turbo on stock boost? Oh I see all the benefits now... :rollin

The way it improves consumption is because you drive round a low revs most of the time. This conversion has reduced your low revs boost a lot.

I agree its personal choice.
