Title: Good old Clifford
Post by: D2BBA on February 27, 2008, 09:16:00 AM
Alright peeps,

The siren / speaker on my Clifford has stopped working (propbably due to water ingress or heat).  The siren doesnt sound and the alarm activation / de-activation bleeps and the proximety alert dont sound.

Looks like I need a new spreaker unit.  Does anyone supply them, as my alarm is three year old now and the original comapny probably wont offer it under warrenty.

Is there anyway to change them, as I suppose you cant cut and re-attach the wires easily, otherwise your average crim would just snip them and have the car away, lol

Chris

Cheers bud:)

It states a limited lifetime warrenty on the website and im the original owner of the car, so should be able to get the fitting company to take a look at it!

Good looking motor you have there BTW!

Ooo mine touches the bonnet slightly, so that could be it.  Mines an FRP bonnet tho, so not sure why it would affect it?

As for the alarm warrenty Clifford may still help.  They say on their website to check with the alarm company first, but if you have no luck to contact them direct.

Give it a go :)

if ya forward the siren onto me dude i can sort it out for you not a problem :)

its 4 wires... easily done with a soldering iron and some electrical tape... but if any of the wires touch the wrong ones by accident then you can easily short out the alarm main brain and fry it!

talking of cliffords, my concept 650 blackjax has stopped working. It used to warn you everytime you started driving, but now it\'s stopped working all together.  Everything else seems to work ok, just the blackjax feature. Any ideas anyone?

would recomend using amalgamide tape not electrical tape it needs to be water proof
