Just a quick question, after a search i found rotaryaviation and atkins rotary both do rebuild kits but which company is the best to deal with and gets the thumbs up from DIY builders on here?
many thanks!
You\'ve probably heard it before mate but i\'d stick with genuine mazda parts!
RX Motors will have all the parts you need, as said stick to Mazda parts, and are very helpful.
another vote for OEM mazda - who else can put millions of squids into development of apex seals, water seals, springs etc...i buy mine from super7autos (//www.super7autos.co.uk)
Fair enough, do Mazda do full rebuild kits like the ones on those websites or do you have to order individual parts from them?
maza do a gasket kit which contains nearly all (if not all) of the engine gaskets and it contains a water seal kit as well...as for hard seals like apex, side, corner etc, those you have to buy sepaaretly
ross at dragon has all genuine mazda stuff t real good prices, give him a bell.
Sorry to butt in!
How much is a rebuild kit?
i got my stuff from rhdjapan.com
i got all my seals/gaskets and bearings for about £600ish
So what exactly do you need for a "standard" rebuild?
I take it\'s a gasket kit, inc water seal O rings.
Then 6 x Apex seals
6 x Long apex seal springs
6 x short Apex seal springs
12 x side seals
12 x side seal springs
12 x Corner seals
Any bearings that are genrally changed as well? Or anything else I\'ve missed there?
You will not know what else you need apart from seals and \'o\' rings untill the engine is apart, there are so many other parts you may need.
