Title: 13b tt FUEL owerflood
Post by: McPie on February 22, 2008, 05:28:28 PM
have a problem with new FD engine

problem begun after engine replacement
first were AT now changed into MT
ECU changed too.

on engine start injectors overflow fuel
all chambers are wet and sparkplugs cant give a sparkle in case of they are wet.

injectors speed 50mls, what is the stock injector speed?
fuel pump presure 3.2BAR what it should be?

Where could be the problem?

Thanks in adavnce

Regards
Tomas

Could just be flooded. Usually best bet is to search for it. Remove the plugs and dry them off. Turn engine over without the EGI fuse installed to get rid of any petrol in the chambers and then try again.

yeah as above ^-- and you can also heat the plugs with a burner to help starting.

OK you suggest how to start the engine, but it will work once...
Fuel injectors are working to fast 50mls, and there is problem I don\'t know
I can dry spark plugs, I can take out safety-catch  and start engie without spraying any fuel in chambers. For the moment chambers and spark plugs will be dry. But as soon as I start engine again with all connected parts, it start to work and stop. Problem goes round and round.

What could couse such injectors work speed?

maybe your fuel pressure regulator is not fine? maybe injectors are leaking or you have maybe got poor compression?

Could be a faulty ECU, faulty/leaky injectors or a short on the injectors to ground, causing them to run full on.

IIRC the injectors run with a live im sure they work on a negative pulse prof.

ok I did some checks

a)fuel presure regulator is ok and working
b)there is no any short in wires... INJECTORS WORKING
c)comprestion aka fuel presure is 3.2 BAR
d) injectors are not leaky, because fuel presure stay same, it don\'t
get down.

what do you mean regarding compression? ENGINE or FUEL PRESURE

once again please let me know what should be STOCK fuel pump presure
what should be stock infector opening/closing work speed in mls ?
