Hi All,
Anyone that has used one or knows about them, is there a datalogit that\'s specific to the RX7 FD3s, or can you do the same things with a \'universal\' datalogit (Type X apparently) for all cars?
Reason i ask is because i want one, and this one here will go for chips (unless one of you bid for it because i\'m posting the link, lol) and i\'ll get it if it serves the right purpose! (Ps. i have Apexi PFC already installed with one map on it)

The universal one works fine with our PFC , and is the model you would get if you bought new from Datalogit themselves

ahh Have you mapped cars before and have a wideband?, its only usefull if you are planning to map yourself, if not and are only using it to monitor then the commander with the Apexi Power FC is all you need
basically (read up quite a bit on it, rx7club.com - Wargasm has an AMAZING guide on it) i\'ve got PFC with Greddy Profec B Spec II, i\'m going to look at getting a wideband that i can plug into the datalogit, so alongside the PFC i can learn how to create myself a second map for much lower, more every day useable power.
This is all just prep work at the mo, once i\'ve got it and on the road i\'ll join up as a full member and intro myself! :) cheers!
PS (sorry for multi-posting, genuine mistsake!) can you recommend a good wideband that\'ll do the job and not cost a million squids?

Innovate is my Wideband of choice very good.
What spec car you going after, Twins or modified single turbo?
It\'s already got ST setup done by PowerGains... more info to follow on it when i get it.

Apex-performance they are a 200sx specialist but sell all the Innovate wideband stuff, go for the LM-1 model

If you are getting the car from Powergains I would imagine it would have a "Jaydee" map on the ECU in which case all you would need is to lower the boost for lower power and no need to map it yourself and save yourself some money from buying a Wideband and datalogit.
His maps are awesome I would find out from Kerim who mapped the car.
Yeah very good point actually... just use the Greddy to adjust it. so it\'s ok to leave the fueling as it is it it? just lower the boost?
yes you are correct just lower the boost,
If Jaydee has mapped the car he would have mapped all the different boost level fuel cells. So when you lower the boost the Apexi will sense the boost level and use the correct fuel cell for that boost versus rpm therefore inject the correct fuel.

Yeah i\'ve heard a lot of people rave about them saying they\'re up and coming and doing a fantastic job... i\'ve just sent an email and will conclude this thread by confirming who mapped it. Then it\'ll be me, my Greddy and my PFC all on our own having two driving options! ... Manicly fast...... and even faster :-D
