Title: Lip Removal
Post by: J4P RX on March 01, 2004, 09:16:58 PM
I have these wheels, and on the inside there is a small lip.  I need to know how to remove it, as with the lip in place the wheel wont fit on...

Not the best picture, but it explains better than me:

if its alloy lee cant it be sanded down gentle with an electric sander, or some wheel suppliers have companies they use to shave wheels to the correct offsets, maybe they could help.

Yes that might work.  At the moment im thinking it might drill out.

Two of the wheels have these in (both offsides) and the nearside ones dont.  It looks like a piece of metal sitting in a groove.

They look like locating spigotts that have rusted on to the wheel, just tap them out or drill them like gary suggested.
