Title: Solenoid Value - Port Air Bypass
Post by: imebgo on February 19, 2008, 01:00:13 PM
Hey,

Which solenoid is this?  The ecu is reporting it as faulty on a standard 1992 import.  Does this have anything to do with the EGR System?

Thanks,

James

The manual helped me here, its one of the solenoids on the EGR system under the intake manifold.

Cheers,

James

Dont think jap imports have an EGR system, usually only canadian and certain american models have it. I reckon your fault is the Air control valve (ACV). 2 solenoids control this. It directs air from the airpump into the intake and cat. Mine was seized solid and i never even knew untill i threw it in the bin and went decat

Yes it is the ACV control solenoids not EGR. might just be the plug wiring
