Title: Thermostat price help
Post by: civicboy28 on February 19, 2008, 11:27:43 AM
I need a thermostat for my 95 FD.
Iv called a specialist who wante over 25 quid for it and the sealing ring.
called my local spares place who said 5.52 with sealing ring.

they said its a 82 degree one. and for a FD 1 series.
question is. is this the correct one, part number they gave me was (QTH104K)

Thanks in advance.

Just ask them if it\'s definitly for the fd3s and make sure you fit the rubber ring that goes around it. 82 degree is the correct one.

I was looking for one too, coincidence!
I was just going to go to Mazda - with stuff like Thermostats i always tend to find OEM is best - for instance, when looking for one for my other half\'s Eunos, the Mazda ones were the only ones that have the little bleed hole on them, which i beleive stops the suden flood of cold water when the stat opens, and gives you a more gradual changeover? No idea how though :qack:

i dug the second hand (but unused) waterpump gasket out and it has a kink so probably isn\'t any use, but i\'ve got a brand new perfect one in original packaging you can have, post your email address and i\'ll drop you a line, paypal £4. if you want a thermostat o-ring i\'ve got a mint one of those in original packaging you can have for a quid!
