Title: Clutch report - WOW -
Post by: johnf on March 01, 2004, 06:36:45 PM
My clutch has beed iffy for a couple of months but drove OK -

or so I thought.

Hand a new clutch [stock] fitted last week and I am gobsmacked

at the difference.

I\'ve had the car for 14 months and added about 8k mls and I

think I may well have been slipping when I bought it.

I didn\'t think driving an FD could get any better- it just has :D

Saw the old clutch, the back plate had a 3mm groove  - what a

mess.

Just thought I\'d post cuz I\'m happy :rollin and can\'t wait till it\'s

worn in.

Standard Clutch Cost

I did a bit of a deal with the mechanic who needed some signs,

but he says it would have cost about £325.00 all in.
