Title: FD\'s with more aggressive wheel fitments
Post by: SiH on February 18, 2008, 12:28:08 PM
I\'m looking for photos and sizes of people running what would be considered aggressive wheel fitments.

From extreme, to mild, we\'re talking in the region of 9j et20\'s or thereabouts, and better :D Please list wheel widths, offsets what tyre widths you are running, what arch mods you are running, and what suspension you have fitted.

Please, please don\'t turn this into another \'stretched tyres suck\' or \'you can\'t fit those\' thread, as that has been covered a lot before. I want to see what people are actually running.

I\'m really looking for flushness or slight protrusion.

So go on then, show us what you got :D

Only a feeble 45 offset, I\'m afraid, but a 17x10 inch rim with 265 wide tyre on it. GET coilovers and no arch mods whatsoever. Doesn\'t rub even with the coilovers wound right down, guess that\'s the benefit of sticking close to standard offset. Tyre is perfectly flush with the top of the arch when viewed from above.

Interloper, that\'s insane! You could hire that out for hedge-cutting! :)

Theiving a post from sweetiewells here, but that\'s running 9.5J ET30 on the rear, which is about the same I\'m wanting to go (still a weak offset really & i\'ll be going 9.5J on the front too)

that looks like it brings the rear wheel pretty much close to flush. Do you reckon with a slight roll / pull you could get another 3/4 of an inch to bring the ET down to ET15 or lower?

Afraid I\'m running a relativly weaksauce ET38 on a 9J. Poor effort matt. :D I will be going wider and more sticky out :D

hey thats my car :)

yes the rear is pretty much flush with the arch, was rubbing like hell on the arch lip when i first put them on so ive rolled the lip right round and now never rubs. I do have quite hard suspension thou, Megan Racing Coilovers.

Yeah I thieved your post as an example, sure I gave your name credit tho. [edit:] I did, hope you don\'t mind!, and just in case, no offence intended with me saying it\'s a weak fitment.. I come from S bodies where you can get away with ultra hardcore ET12 and under fitments. I soo wish I could fit some ET5 or negative offsets to a rex

searching for wheels with a high offset feels like a step back :rollin

S-body and R-body fitment makes higher offset wheels cheaper ;) :D

Mid 20\'s on a 9 looks easily do-able though, should be able to tell you very soon :)
In fact, i\'ll try some Starion widebody\'s on the back :D
8J -5:bandit :D
