Ok, I\'m having trouble who insured me over a year ago, and now I need to find out for legal reasons.
I remember they insured me definatly between the period of November 2006 and a few months before it, but I\'ve forgotten who they are and I can\'t find my insurance certificate.
I\'ve got to go to court on the 25th so its really important that I know which company it was.
Anybody have any ideas how I could find out?
Thanks
If you have current, different insurers they will had had to obtain you driving history from the prevoius insurers, ask them.
Hope that helps
John
Hi Johnf,
I got a new quote from another company after it expired instead not using my NCB, so I\'m not sure if they have a record, I\'ll have a go asking them though.
Thanks for that
Joeh
What about an old bank statement?
You re-insured without using your NCB - why?

I have thought about that, will have a look when I get home :)
Thanks!
Bank statements may not be much help if you paid in instalments, it\'d probably have gone through a third party credit agency rather than direct to the insurance company.
*suicide* :((((
Your Bank / Credit Card statements are your best bet - surley you can\'t have paid in cash?
So if it was a cheque, direct debit or card payment the bank will have a record. I work for Lloyds TSB and we now have years of statements available through online banking - and you can use the search option.
not sure if they can but dvla work on a points system 3 points for tax insurance and mot wonder if they have record on the cars insurance past
worth a try
