Hi guys,

for my carbon bonnet as i dont want to damage it trying to push it down on the stock catch.
what i need to know is which catches you guys reccomend, where from and how much they should cost.
are they difficult to fit? any more difficult with carbon?
i ideally want the flush locking one but is flush hard to achieve?
im scared :2Rolleyes dont want to damage the bonnet but i have a handy dremil which should hopefully allow me to do it gently.
any help/advice at all is appreciated.
thank you :wave
The stock catch shouldn\'t cause any damage. On my old car i used it a stock one for about 9 months untill i sold the car and never had a problem.
Only used on race cars so they don\'t have the extra weight and cable pull i think. Other reason is looks and maybe if you are getting bonnetg lift at the corners.
However rotaryart sells them and demon tweeks too.
its the closing thats the problem as because its so light you have to push down on it to close and the flexing damages them :( other than that no problems and ive used the stock catch for months.
will check out gazza and the tweeks
cheers
Doesn\'t carbon bonnets have a tendency of lifting up in the corners under high speeds. Bonnet catches are there as a backup more for this.
They sell them direct too. Best bet is to google it.

A lot of CF bonnet manufacturers actually state they should be used with locking pins :)
