Title: toad problem
Post by: peterwolds on February 07, 2008, 06:07:12 AM
car hadnt been used for 4 weeks so battery was put on charge but door wasnt shut properly so interior light drained it when i went to use it a few days later, alarm hadnt been set.tried to charge again and the alarm goes off as soon as i switch the charger on & wont disarm, tried both key fobs no use,let it scream a few minutes thinking it would sort itself out & reset itself no joy. Will take battery out at weekend & charge it off the car but expect it to shout when i reconnect.
Any ideas how to shut it up

well if you can find out mate i can help a little more there should be a siren under the bonnet and a box behind the dash somewhere if your able to take of the steering surround and look at the ignition wires im guessing the previous owner needed it for insurance purposes so should have an immobillser which means there should be some black wires coming from the ignition barrell going to the main brain of the alarm find that and it should have a model number once you have that i have all the toad software on disc can help you more then but need to know which one you have

I had same problem to! with discharged battery, as said it will reset itself, i muffled the sounder with rags and tape easier on the ears, which took a lot of the noise away whie waiting for the reset.
