Title: Hight of AST
Post by: hugo on February 05, 2008, 08:18:28 AM
Is the level of the filler neck for the water and the top of the air separation tank critical to one another, I wanted to move the AST but it would be 100mm lower than it is now and I wanted to know if that was ok or not.

I would say you\'d need to keep it about the same level as the stock position!!

As I understand, it should be the highest point in the system...

Except for the throttle body it seems.

Well, not quite highest ;) But higher than the low coolant sensor!

All of which is higher than the engine (but not the TB).

I saw a pic of one mounted where the air pump used to live, seems like a good location and nice and high too :D

Could be worth a go?
