Title: Wrong Exhaust. Watch Out
Post by: mread4 on February 04, 2008, 07:14:04 PM
Just got a new exhaust system for my FD from the USA on ebay and was told it would fit a right hand drive. I spent about 5 hours taking the old downpipe off and putting the new one on to find out it is for a left hand drive only. The company on ebay is called
discountzoomparts (http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/discountzoomparts/) so watch out.

Yeah you do need to watch out. Lesson learnt i suppose. I bet your well ****ed off now aint you? A guy on here is selling some used downpipes to fit RHD models, I\'ll dig the thread out

Yeah not the most easy of jobs to do. Put the old downpipe back on for now as i needed to get the car started due to it being sat still for about a year. Long going project car should be finished in the next month.

The majority of RX7 parts from US are mainly for left hand drive

The only aftermarket things i can think of is the downpipe, headlights and dashboard parts?

I have one in the cupboard that is the same. Was cheaper to have the kit from america than just the mid pipe. Just remeber that the LHD cars have lots more space on the exhaust side.

You could make it fit with alot of heat and a very big mallet :Giggle

Is it a Megan Racing one ? The mid-pipe is brill.

Plus cheap Yank manifolds and turbo kits. A-spec are one of the few that now do RHD kits (all be it without plumbed in WG).
