Hey guys still got boost problems, pipes are all ok,,, every unused nipple n holes been welded up but heres my thinking.. i opened up the wastegate to 30mm, is there a chance its stuck open or closed at its not boosting past 0, it boosted fine the first day after the non-seq setup and now it wont.. hmmm think its worth taking the tubs off n having a looky?
did you remove the door and then re weld it when you opened up the gate? if so you need to leave it slack cos when it heats up it expands and jams
Are you still on twins bud?
im having a boost issue that could be a similar thing, im still on sequential twins, first turbo comes in very slow and doesnt make hardly any boost then second one comes in fast and strong with good boost. Me and a mate went through the rats nest and tested all the solenoids and checked all the hoses and all was ok, so it must be something else, its been suggested it could be to do with the wastegate on the first tubby not opening correctly or getting stuck.
yeah im still on twins but non-seq, i removed the flapper completely and bored out the wastegate port to 30mm
ok had a wee run today, car boosted to 0.03bar, starting to bug the crap out of me now because i know its gotta be something silly!
any suggestions? just need to get some new hose and replace everything just to narrow it down. Anyone ever had probs with the greddy E01? if its switched off then the car shud boost normally should it not?

You dont mean you removed the wastegate flap itself completely??
This would mean the exhaust gas being dumped through the wastegate port all the time, no wonder its not making boost, or have I completely misunderstood what you have wrote:xconfused
I know boring out the wastegate port on twins helps to stop boost creep, but if you bore to much then you might not be sealing the wastegate port correctly so will impede boost build up and spool.
But I could have completely misread whats been done
ps even if the boost controller is faulty or switched off you should make at least 7psi minimum off the spring thats in the wastegate actuator
think he means he removed the pre control flapper :D
ahh I see, but still he should be still making 7psi minimum. Either there is a boost leak or the wastegate has stuck open
yeah soz bud, the flapper i removed but not the wastegate one, that just got board out to 30mm... think the best bet is to remove it all and have a look ..
I got exactly the opasit problem mate...... might be worth getting the cars together to see if yours can steel some of my boost LOL!!!!
Jono
its odd, cars running perfect and purrrring like a kitten.. just wish i had some bloody boost lol
get a fat single mate, scared this sh1t of an FD noob the other day, hahahaha
