Due to the fact that the Motorsport bug has bitten me quite hard and I\'ve got a chance to buy a well-developed road-legal trackday/race car (not a rotary I\'m afraid), I\'m toying with the idea of selling the FD as I won\'t be able to have both. Plus I\'d need the space that the FD is currently occupying.
So, what I have here is:
1992 FD, auto converted to manual with an auto diff. Black, engine rebuilt last year by RoTechniks (still under warranty with them), slightly modified with PFC, Racing Beat intake, HKS downpipe, High-flow cat, Racing Beat exhaust, Alloy rad and alloy AST (Pettit Racing IIRC). Yellow adjustable Konis, Hawk pads. Oh, and a nice set of Defis (oil & water temp, oil pressure) and a UK-spec speedo. Feed sill covers and handles as well from the group buy, and soon to sport one of Gary\'s CF instrument holders.
The body\'s OK but the front bumper had been replaced with a red one at one point and resprayed. Not the best of jobs, but I\'m contemplating getting this sorted.
All in all it\'s a well-sorted car which has all the usual damaged parts addressed and all the known weak spots sorted out. It\'s not got massive power but it\'s a very useable increase over standard.
But that brings me to the dilemma of how to price it - given the cost and effort that\'s gone into the car I\'m thinking around 6k, but I\'m worried that I\'d be asking too much? Any comments/suggestions?
6k sounds ok to me - any pics? Help us work out how \'ok\' the body is
Haven\'t got any pictures at the moment, I\'m afraid. The body is straight with the odd car-park ding. No aftermarket bits on it apart from a Mazdaspeed rear wing or a copy thereof. The main part that lets the car down is the front bumper cover that used to be red and has been badly painted black (whoever painted it didn\'t use plasticizer so it the paint is cracked...)
May be closer to £5K, whos knows, may be even less - the market is so bad that selling full stop is the bigger issue rather than how much :-/
